At Spring Town Meeting on 6 April we learned that Rockport has begun outsourcing its ambulance services during the day. Rockport volunteer Ambulance Service will serve nights and weekends, and Beauport will fill in during the days. I learned this in response to a budget question I asked from the floor, inquiring why the line item for outsourced Ambulance services rose during the last year from about $23,000 to over $220,000. Am looking into this to see what I can learn about this important service to the Town.
